
Maria Pia Leziroli
Lawyer Maria Pia Leziroli graduated from the University of Bologna with a thesis on employment law in the entertainment industry. In Bologna, she subsequently obtained the qualification to practice law. In Milan, at the Associazione Fonografici Italiani (AFI) she obtained a Master’s degree in discography and music publishing.
As an online Editorialist on Copyrights, she participates as a speaker at conferences on the subject.
She has published two books:
- “D’autore: Il diritto più antico. Testimonianze di protagonisti”, Ed. Franco Angeli, 2008
- “Musica e Diritto – Dal fonogramma al digitale”, Ed. Franco Angeli, 2005.
Moreover, she has collaborated, on the part relating to copyright, in the writing of the “Manuale di diritto dell’informazione e della comunicazione del Prof. Ruben Razzante – Cedam-Wolters Kluwer ed. 2016 e 2019”.
She has been a member, during the four-year period 2015/2019 as an expert, by Decree of the Minister Franceschini (Decreto del Ministro Franceschini), of the Permanent Advisory Committee for Copyright at MIBACT (Decree 05/02/2015). In Particular, she was a member of the Subcommittee on EU Directive 2014/26, transposed by Decree No. 35/2017, as well as of the Special Commission on Format.
